Product Promotion
The Consortium carries out activities for the promotion and enhancement of the Toscano PGI extra virgin olive oil brand, the designation of origin, and the oil product, both in Italy and abroad. It does so through advertising campaigns and initiatives of promotional, informative and educational nature with the aim of increasing awareness on it and spread the values of this important national agri-food heritage.
Protection and surveillance
The consortium protects against imitation and misuse of the Toscano PGI certification, as well as prevents and fights against the unlawful production or marketing of products using the name Toscano extra virgin olive oil within Italy and abroad.
Supervisory agents, authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, ensure compliance with the law’s regulations by anyone who sells extra virgin olive oil.
Any potential infringements can be prosecuted by current civil, administrative or criminal laws.
